I have nothing of substance to add to answer your question.

I’ve had them for 15 years in Ohio. Never got a flower. I take them in every fall. I’m assuming they need more outdoor sunshine?

Age/size is a factor, but (yes, I know it’s stupidly controversial…) skipping dormancy and power feeding bloom nutes through fall and winter seemed to unlock it for many of my plants.
No dormancy in nature and they flower…No dormancy in states like CA and they get a ton of flowers.
Havent seen a noticeable difference in root bound vs not root bound, but have been told that can help simce the stress of root bound can cause them to want to reproduce

I had one took 16 years to flower. Another one was only a foot tall flowering every year multiple Bloom’s. Is what it is…..
