You have a lot of nodes, if I was you I´ll cut them in pars to make more plants. I´m propagating some Dieffenbachia (8 or 9 cuttings) and have success with single nodes.

I would just plant it deeper in the soil. The more roots the quicker the plant will rebound and grow larger leaves sooner
