Absolutely not. If for no other reason that orchids are air plants and NEED oxygen at the roots!!! Get it out of water and plant in an orchid potting soil, basically a little compost with bark nuggets. It wants ambient moisture so cap it with a clear plastic cup or put in a terrarium until it starts developingon its own and growing leaves. Keep it OUT of direct sunlight. Quickest way to kill an orchid is over watering or having the roots sitting in water, it will rot.
