I bought a Monstera albo starter plant but want to make sure it's actually an albo and not a Thai con or something else. I have a Thai con and think they look different, but want to make sure since my Thai con looks a little busted.
First three photos are of the albo, the collage has my thai con on top, albo on the bottom, and middle is the two plants side by side.

Pretty sure it’s a Thai
it’s giving thai vibes with all the speckles to me
It looks similar to my thai
Agree, looks like the baby thai I bought earlier this year. Your previous Thai looks super sad tho (in terms of varigation), now you have at least a nice specimen.
It’s an Albo. Here’s pics of mine (got the node in March, she’s putting out her 5th leaf) https://imgur.com/gallery/WX9CD3e
v similar to my thai I jus picked up
Def a tiny Thai con.
Sorry, it is not an Albo… but it’s a beautiful Thai 😃🌱
99% sure it’s a Thai Con grown from TC. Especially by the “starry” variegated splotching in the first pic
It’s definitely a Thai. 👍
I have no doubt that this is a thai
Im sorry, I’m leaning more Thai too. It can be hard to tell sometimes when babies, but I agree with the other comment that at least you have a very nice Thai specimen now! You’ll be able to tell for sure once it puts a couple more leaves out
Looks like a Thai to me as well. Here’s a quick comparison of the two if you want to look. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTNgthCnY/
I have a couple of Albos that predate the Thai con’s existence. They throw speckled patterns like yours.
End of the day, they are all the same plant. Just a slight difference in the mutation – one can look like the other quite easily.
Really, all Thai cons are just fancy Albos, since Albo is just a variegated M. deliciosa and that’s all a Thai con is.
That’s a thai, I hope you didn’t pay too much for it
Honestly I think it is a very pretty marbled albo – I have a Thai and a bunch of albos that I propagated from my mother plant and when they first started to grow they also looked like yours. Also Thais have yellowish variegation while yours is white. Pic below is from my prop collection and one of the leaves pretty much represents yours

Here’s another Thai for comparison

Looks Thai
That’s a baby Thai con. Albos are not in TC because their variegation is not stable. You will never see a baby Albo like this unless it’s from seed, which would cost a fortune. So besides the fact that it looks nothing like an Albo (the trained eye can see it), you can tell because it’s not from a wet stick or cutting.
