  2. Very helpful video! I have learned a lot of this, but like you said, as a refresher it is super helpful! I love this format!

  3. I used your advice and put up a shade cover & row covers and yesterday, August 1st, I harvested the last of my spring leaf lettuce & giant spinach. It made it thru 90 to 100 degree heat without bolting – Amazing!

  4. Thanks so much for all this great information. I absolutely learned a few things this year and this info really helps.

  5. Very informative. Timing is everything. I live much farther south (zone 12a) than you so I have to add about a month to your timeline.

  6. I just bought a house that unfortunately needs work, but I am determined to grow something!

  7. That was thorough–thank you! I'm trying Cicoria Rosa (Pink Radicchio), which is also called Millennial Lettuce for its popularity with modern foodies.

  8. These are my favorite videos of yours. If I'm ever feeling garden fatigue, these give me the boost and motivation that I need. It's always encouraging to hear that there's something that's ready to be planted. 🙂

  9. Excellent information! And just in time !
I’m growing celery for the first time!
    question:
once it’s gaining maturity in September & October, then it hardens off to the frost in November when must I harvest it before I lose it?before the frost or,
after frost as long as it’s large enough?
Thank you for your concise excellent information. Thank you for sharing.!

  10. Speak for yourself. I love eating the white part of the green onions. That’s the best part.

  11. What is the plastic you cut to fit to keep the weeds out behind you when discussing crops 1-3. I’ve been debating this for a while also new to gardening thanks

  12. Don't get me wrong, we enjoy your channel very much but your pushing it on this one. Some of the items your planting you've already started 3-4 weeks ago in seed trays and are just now planting out. You need a segment in your videos to remind everyone when to start their seeds. Keep the vids coming and may the harvest gods smile upon you.

  13. So excited to start my fall crops!! I just planted bush beans and zucchini a few weeks ago and they are already huge! I’m hoping with the later planting I can avoid the squash vine bore

  14. ENDIVE is great for apps !!! Use them as little boats to fill with different things for finger food appetizers. Some popular ideas are :
Bleu cheese, walnuts, dried cranberries with honey drizzle
Cream cheese, smoked salmon, dill, black sesame seed
Chopped apple and grape salad, sugar syrop, creme fraiche
Cous cous salad with tomato, olives, feta and cuccumber, tzaziki or garlic cream sauce drizzle
Endive boats offer endless possibilities for holiday appetizers, they are crazy underutilized and can make you look like like you spent hours on your spread when you didn't. It's a great culinary cheat code.

  15. Thank you. I've been watching gardening videos for years, but this has been one of the best. Good, clear explanations, and it's for my zone. I will be looking for more videos from you. Thanks again – happy harvesting.

  16. This is random but can someone tell me if it's still safe to eat my German heirloom tomatoes if they start to crack and how I can avoid this all of them are cracked at first I thought this was an insect or rotting of some sort 😅
