This little guy broke off in a thunderstorm. I stuck it in some water as it had a few flowers on it and thought we'd enjoy them. Then he statted sprouting all these roots. He's really clinging to life and want to help him out! When should I plant this? I believe it's a purslane portulaca.

Many people go by different rules, but I’ve heard once there is a second branch off of the main roots they are ready. Another I’ve heard is when the roots are 1-2in long. I suppose it’s up to you to decide which method to go by 🙂
