I have a beautiful Pride of Barbados in front of my house in the small space between my garage door and front walkway. It has been really happy this summer but now has grown really large (even larger than seen in my attached photo from a month ago). It has started to split down the middle and is hanging so low to the left that I run into it every time I pull in and out of my garage. Is it safe to transplant, and at what point of the year? How exactly do I dig it up and transplant it?

They really don’t like to be transplanted in my experience. You’re probably better off collecting a few seed pods to start a new one.
Can you tie back the last side to protect it. Then in the winter prepare a better home and then move it?
Yes but wait until after winter. And cut it back at least by half after. Fertilize with compost if nothing else and mulch and deeply WATER IT every week- every other week. Do it right after the last frost passes… it will only get bigger. You have more yard to let it thrive
