Dioscorea bulbifera is known to be an invasive species in Florida and a total pest – yet there are edible and non-invasive varieties, like these “air potatoes” we are growing in our Grocery Row Garden.

We don't eat it back in my tropical place..
Bulbifera sounds like a Pokémon! 😎🐝☀️
It is big
Anyone know a reputable seller for these?
Where did you buy this?
How does it taste though?
That is absolutely wild and totally awesome
😗😗😗👍💕💕
That weird one looks like the starship enterprise or the millennium falcon.
Chayotes (a different air potato) are easy to grow and are used as substitutes for potatoes. But these don't taste like yams, they taste like 🥔 potatoes
I still don't know where to buy them.
I hope you're daughter puts these in her store! ❤
Living in southwest florida i spent most of my teenager years fighting the potato vines on our property. They covered an entire school bus in one season.
