It’s in the top of the list of fast growing plants and second most expensive lumber only coming up short of mahogany prices. Very sturdy tree capable of reach over 100ft tall. There is a huge one in my yard maybe 50 ft from my house it’s pushing 70+ ft and when a storm comes all my other hardwood trees are swaying and bending with the wind this thing just stands there. They shed dead limbs like crazy and it’s common to see a 8-10ft long 7-8inch in diameter dead limb in the yard but when you go to pick it up it feels way lighter than it looks it’s crazy light like balsa but has strength like other hardwoods. In China they use it to build with like we do with our native hardwoods. Imagine having wood chairs sturdy like they are made from oak or Cherry but weigh a third of the weight. That said they are considered invasive in the US even though the government planted the majority of them in the 50s 60s and 70s. If it’s in a spot that it would not cause problems they are beautiful trees and nowhere near as harmful to the environment as say kudzu or TOP.

These are horribly invasive trees and should be killed swiftly
