  1. Enjoyed this, Jenny and Jerry. My husband and I have downsized to his parents home and after a massive remodel, we moved in just before Thanksgiving. Yes, I already have the new garden started. And yes, I have discovered my problem area. Part of a hillside was moved behind the house and the soil is down to the bedrock. This is a pretty long stretch, and I envision a long mixed border here. We’re on a small farm, old zone 6b, new 7a, and last year, late summer, I covered the entire area first with a thick layer of goat hay (hay they waste, mixed with their manure), and then a layer of leaves. This year, the area got more goat hay, leaves, and manure from a clean out of the cow’s barn. I have also continuously added kitchen scraps. I know this isn’t something video worthy, but I do value Jerry’s opinion. Am I wasting my time or is my dream of a cottage garden feasible? I do honestly see improvements already and the worms were evident this summer as well.

  2. I took on your challenge for suggestions on videos. 😎 Hubby wanted landscape 101 from Jerry. 😂 I thought about Mimi approved garden plants 🌱 🥰. But I do think it’s a brilliant idea to have collections by theme (pollinators harvest etc.) with sun/ part sun/ shade options.❤❤❤ Just love watching your videos. I’m always learning from you guys! 🤗

  3. Can you do a segment on the care of Lemon Coral Sedum? Can it be trimmed or cut back? How to do it. How to care for it, etc. Thanks, Jenny and Jerry for helping me be a better informed gardener! Love ya!❤

  4. Jerry, if only you knew how much we love to see your video explanation, direction and suggestions. We would like to see more of you directing in front of the camera..

  5. Can’t wait to see it all come together this Spring for you all! I just wanted to speak to the comments on the Proven winners petunias. I was not a fan of petunias for a while. Spindly and needy and required a lot of deadheading. I decided to try PW vista bubblegum and holy WOW! It’s a totally different animal. I’m overwintering a hanging basket for the THIRD year and it looks great after I totally cut it back for the winter. Tough stuff for sure! Wish I could post a picture. I’m overwintering 6 others that are also doing great, for the landscape.

  6. Oh my gosh guys, Jerry's idea of what to put together in the front of the borders, or middle and back, those would be great please!

  7. Jenny will you guys be selling Land and Sea? The online price for shipping is outrageous 😅 I can come visit you guys and load up my husbands truck, right? Would love to visit you guys.

  8. A video about annuals and perennials that can handle the intense heat that Texas is getting in the summer. Combinations. Can vermillionaire and lemon joy sedum handle the 100+ temperatures with things not cooling off below 90 at night? Also, dry shade plants that can handle things not cooling off at night! Please and thank you!

  9. Zone 8a Florida. I received several poinsettia plants in pots, any ideas on keeping them going? I don't have a green house or garage. Thanks

  10. Great video! Would love to see things labeled as Native (Michigan zone 6b), pollinators & toxic/non toxic to dogs. Moving into our new build house April/May & trying to watch as many garden videos as possible. I have my favorite perennials & bushes but also trying to add a lot of new things. Starting landscape & gardens clean slate sounds great but I’m finding it overwhelming as well. I’ve been saving all of your videos so I can go back & rewatch them as often as I need.

  11. Thank you both for sharing so much and teaching us! Deer resistant for both sun and shade would be great!
There was something I think you shared in a video something that was near the dry creek area but at the edge of trees.
Or how to and what to /not to plant around the foundation of your home. Like how far away should plants and mulch material be?

  12. I’d love to see a video that talks about succession of blooms or interest on perennials and shrubs. There are some places in my garden that I prefer to have perennials or shrubs rather than using annuals, but I still want lots of pretty blooms and ongoing interest. So what combination of plants would ensure there is always something putting on a show? Also, plants that work well to hide bulb foliage while it dies back!

  13. Regarding listing plants according to topics, all of the above you noted. That way I don't have to go to another site for that information. 🙂

  14. Please do a video about RABBIT resistant plants!!! Everyone does not have deer issues, but the rabbits are a menace. And don’t get me started on chipmunks and squirrels😡

  15. I'd sure be happy to have more videos on deer resistant plants as I live in Colorado zone 5b and we get deer through our yard on almost a daily basis. By the way, I love your channel and listen faithfully to Gardening with Creekside and Garden Answer.

  16. Jenny and Jerry, Please do videos that highlight deer resistant plants, perennials, annuals, and shrubs. That would be very useful when planning my new gardens. Thank you so much!

  17. I’m in Belhaven NC, zone 8b. Many years we get flooding due to hurricanes or tropical storms…the river across from my house is brackish water. So I’m wondering about plants that can take the salty water. I did notice this year after Ophelia that my camellias looked fine.
Also, what should be done after the water recedes ( which it usually does pretty quickly) … some folks have said they add lime…

  18. I can’t wait to see videos when you all get your new plant shipments – helps me to know spring is coming 😊
I have a lot of dry shade areas in my yard and I struggle knowing what to plant besides hosta. So would love a video on shade annuals and perennials. Thanks!❤

  19. Jenny, Jerry,
Long conveyor belts always remind me of the classic "I Love Lucy" episode in the chocolate factory. 😉

  20. So exciting, and you both had to think all through to keep business flowing better than ever! Quite an operation and I was just wondering how many people you have employed? Sometimes you just never know when your order arrives what you will really receive. There have been some surprises, but I must say what I have ordered was packed with great care from Creekside Gardens.
