In the USA I see many twin high level trunk pines. These are created by nature in the sense that most are formed from a lightning strike on the upper part of the tree killing the main leader and forcing two side branches to become leaders.

Your choice to do something different is inspirational. I've just started my efforts and have chosen Chinese Privet. My problem is I don't know how to proceed because I don't want to follow the usual path that involves drastic foliage reduction and trunk manipulation. I have 2 plants and they have done very well over the summer. Do you have any suggestions for a creatively minded beginner?
