I’d check for evidence of pests (check the underside of leaves and anywhere little pests can hide away along the stem) but I’d guess it’s just the leaves aging because it seems to be confined to the base of the plant. Leaves don’t last forever 🤷♀️ My suggestion would would be to trim the end of the vine so you can trigger growth points towards the base/along the vine and then propogate the bits you trimmed off. Once the propogated vines grow roots, I would add them back to the pot to fill it out – or start a whole new pot!

Over watering, too much sun, poor drainage, nutrient deficiency, shock from repotting and/or moving to a new location, excess fertilizer, low humidity.
Check the above – overwatering is generally the culprit. How old is the plant, have you ever transplanted planted it, have you checked the rootball – it may be root bound in very little soil for example.
If it’s 2 or more years I. The same pot/medium it may need all new soil.
Soil gets washed away as you water the plant, nutrients both get used by the plant and washed away.
The health of your plant involves making sure it’s got plenty of soil to grow.

One thing I noticed is a fairly large plant in a small clear pot and I can see any roots. My guess is the plant has an issue with the roots and doesn’t have enough to support such a large plant so it’s taking energy from the older growth to supply the new.

We occasionally get a yellow leaf or two around here. I just take them off they come off easily so I think they are older leaves ready to go.
