This has really annoyed me.
Every time I have tried to grow tomatoes they have been eaten or died. I moved house and left the tomato plant I went back today and it is huge, covered in flowers with lots of green tomatoes on ready to ripen.
It's a kick to my gardening confidence

Prune the lower leaves heavily so that it puts energy into the fruit, not the leaves.
This will also increase the light require to ripen.
I can grow tomato plants no problem. It’s getting edible fruit that is a challenge.
