Hello everyone!
I recently did my Fall application of Herbicides and I think I severely under applied. If so, I suppose that's better than over applying.
Zone 7a, Fescue
My house sits on 1/3 acre, approximately 11,000 sq ft of lawn.
I used my Dewalt backpack sprayer with the brown tip, high volume & wide fan, setting #3 or #4
Column A is what I understood the application rates to be from the labels ( per 1,000 sq ft, or per gal)
Column B is what I mixed and sprayed from my 4 gal sprayer
Column C is what I think I was supposed to do
A | B | C | |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Per 1000 sq ft | in each 4 gal tank | Should have done | Approx. Sq ft Coverage from 4 gal mixed | ||
TRIAD TZ | 1-1.5 ozs | 1.5oz | ~4oz | 4000 | |
Quinclorac | 1.45oz (per 1000 sq ft/1 gal) | 1.45oz | ~5.8oz | 4000 | |
Torocity/Mesotrione | 1 tsp | 2 tsp | 4 tsp | 4000 |
I mixed and sprayed 3 tanks (12 gal) for the whole yard. After doing some maths, it looks like I sprayed 3000 sq ft of TRIAD and Quinclorac, and 2000 sq ft of Torocity on 11000 sq ft of grass.
Am I calculating this correctly?
