On today’s 2 minute garden tip, I share one of the best fig varieties that produces very large figs. I usually don’t like big fig varieties, because most large figs have inferior flavor and are more vulnerable to insects and splitting due to rainfall and humidity. However, this fig tree is an exception and produces a big fig actually worth growing due to its incredible flavor. See this amazing fig variety in action!

❤ Congratulations ❤
Do you have a favorite BIG fig? Let us know in the comments below!
Oh my it looked so delicious 😋
the way you were cutting towards your palm.😮
They look amazing! Figs are quickly becoming my favorite fruit. I finally got a bunch of figs off a tree I have been growing for three years from a cutting and the flavor is so good, sort of like watermelon but much sweeter. Two days ago I seen a chunk missing from one of the ripe fruits and looked around and seen yellow jackets eating holes in all the ripe figs, seems they like them as well. Hopefully there will be some more ripe ones to enjoy before the season is over. What kind of flavors do you get out of some of your other varieties? Thanks for all the great information!
Which is better Smith or bff?
Now I will have to go visit Bass and get a Bass' Favorite plant. His orchard is close to me here in PA.
👍
I have a Green Ischia and Magnolia. The Green Ischia is my favorite.
The biggest best fig I ever had to date is Ondata. Its currently my #2 fig after Black Madeira
Where do you get your figs from? I only have one right now
Another good video. Hope you will give us a tour of your fig tree collection
Grasshoppers usually carry worms.
Yesssss more fig content 💪
BFF takes long time to ripen. LDA is cold hardy early ripening amazing large fig and it tastes amazing.
Have you ever tried growing longue d'aout? People seem to really like that big fig.
Never tried figs before. Resolved to buy some and try them for the first time. I really don't see what all the fuss is about. Not really that sweet and I don't like the texture that much.
Hey Anthony, I watched your gardening video with some of our gardening heavy weights. While we are not that popular, would be great for you to come by to one of our Chicago Fig Growers tastings. I think people would be really surprised at what we are able to ripen here! What say you?
I just looked to see where you are located. I am a N. Carolinian also but I live in the mountains. They said that figs cant' grow up here. People will have them in a pot for a few years and they die and they can't grow in the ground. I really want figs though. Thanks for the vid.
Wow! 👍
Hey boss can you please send me some cuttings please let me know thank you
I would love to grow a fig tree. What is the best tasting fig that will grow in hot climate, such as the Glendale/Phoenix area in a large pot?
Small fruits and vegetables are a big favorite in my garden. Easy to work with. As for figs I grow many varieties, but the early and mid season varieties work well here in Denver Co. Zone 6a .
Haha at first I thought it was a tiny pumpkin you wer showing off 🤣
